Looking up vehicle information in Parking Boss can be done several different ways.

Lookup with Smart Decal

BEST PRACTICE: Make sure you are logged into your Parking Boss account on your cell phone or tablet. If you have access to more than one community, ensure that you are logged into the correct account.

  1. Open the QR Code reader app or your camera and scan the Smart Decal. 
  2. If the Smart Decal has vehicle data attached to it you will now see the data attached to the decal on your screen. 
  3. Add a note to verify that you checked the Smart Decal or issue a violation if the car is parked improperly.

Lookup without a Smart Decal

BEST PRACTICE: Make sure you are logged into your Parking Boss account on your cell phone or tablet. If you have access to more than one community, ensure that you are logged into the correct account.

  1. From within your Parking Boss account tap/click on the magnifying glass icon in the bottom right hand corner of your screen.
  2. From the Vehicle tab enter the license plate number of the vehicle.
  3. Add a note to verify that you checked the vehicle or issue a violation if the car is parked improperly.

Lookup when there is no Smart Decal and no License Plate

If a vehicle does not have a license plate the license plate field placeholder should be VIN + xxxx (the last four digits of the vehicle's VIN number). NOTE: Some communities use the last five digits of the vehicle's VIN number.
